Justin Timberlake to Star in Facebook Movie

According to the BBC and other publications, Justin Timberlake is to star in the upcoming Facebook movie.

In the movie, directed by David Fincher Fight Club, Se7en and focused on the overnight success of Facebook, Emmy award winning Timberlake will supposedly play Sean Parker, Facebook’s founding president.

What else do we know?

Aaron Sorkin, the guy who brought us the West Wing and A Few Good Men, is writing the screenplay Sorkin recently said he’s never said ‘yes’ to a job offer faster. Kevin Spacey will take on the role of producing the movie. As for Zuckerberg, Guardian UK reports that Adventureland star Jesse Eisenberg is the favorite to play the role, with Shia LaBeouf and Michael Cera also rumored to take starring roles.

I’ve got to be honest. Although it is a very impressive line up, and I genuinely hope the movie succeeds, I’m really struggling to find that excitement that usually materialises when a ‘must see’ movie is making its way to the theatres. I love startups, I love the web, but a movie about one particular web startup’s growth?
