Kanye West Leads BET Hip-Hop Award Nominees With 9 Nods — Full Nominee List Announced

Kanye West may not be liked much by a lot of people, due his highly-publicized interruption of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the VMAs, but he’s still get that awards show love.

It was recently revealed that he earned the most nominations for the upcoming 2009 BET Hip-Hop Awards, which will be taped in Atlanta on October 10 and air on October 27.

My take on this whole ordeal: if this was real then it was absolutely unacceptable, but more and more of this seems like a publicity stunt. Marketing research shows that the more and more our society is commercialized, we all understand that it is taking place and are harder to influence. When a stunt seems like reality, it becomes the most talked about topic in the world. And after the Eminem Bruno stunt last year, look for a possible stunt at every MTV event.
